FLIP PRESENTATION
Avoid Charity Scam by Group 3 Sec 1

After the presentation we had on Week 2, We've gotten a feedback regarding the topic that we're doing where Mr. Fauzi said better avoid timeline info as the info should be timeless. Therefore, we had amended our slide topic from "Aman Palestine Scandal" to Avoid Charity Scam with referring Aman Palestin Scandal as our case study.

Originally the script writer was other 2 members of my group but appearently they've been dragging all of us for about a week with their none existing progress on the script. Thus, I've decided to step up and volunteer to make the script instead so that we can have feedbacks from mr shamus as well as to start with our progress for the video making.

Figure 1.5 On 10th March

This is the proof that both of the scriptwriter has did not starts on their parts and has been dragging all of our work where we want to show the progress on 11th March to Mr Shamsul.

Script by Aliah

I've made 2 script so that my group mates can choose which one of their liking and we can proceed with it, but both of the script does not really has any big different between them. Both script ideas cover the same core message about raising awareness about charity scams in Malaysia, particularly the Aman Charity Scandal. However, there are structural and tonal differences between the two:

Key Differences Between the Two Ideas

The first script information are more clearer, informative, and structured video. While the second script is more engaging, emotionally driven narrative.

Therefore, our group decided to proceed with more engaging and emotionally driven narrative for our video.

FEEDBACKS

Week 5

Mr. Shamsul asked us to work on the progress already since our group doesn't really have much process as it can affect with our video production if we started it late.

Week 6

Mr. Shamsul has given the feedbacks for the script and he says it was clear and we can proceed for the next step.

REFLECTIONS

Observation

Throughout this project, I observed how animation and visual storytelling play a crucial role in delivering information effectively. Using LATCH principles helped in organizing content logically, making it easier to follow. Additionally, I noticed that balancing visuals, typography, and motion graphics was key to maintaining audience engagement.

Working in a group, I observed how different perspectives contributed to shaping the final outcome. Each member brought unique strengths, but ensuring consistency across our work required constant communication and coordination.

Findings

One of the key findings was how animation principles impact clarity. Smooth transitions and pacing helped improve content flow, while excessive text or overly complex visuals made the message harder to grasp. Through trial and error, I also learned that simplifying data visualization made the infographic more effective.

Another important takeaway was feedback implementation. Mr. Shamsul emphasized the need for better synchronization between motion and content, ensuring that animations complemented the information rather than distracting from it. His feedback also highlighted the importance of maintaining a clear hierarchy so viewers could easily distinguish key points.

Experience

Despite the challenges, this project was a valuable learning experience. I gained a deeper understanding of motion graphics, information structuring, and teamwork. It also improved my problem-solving skills, especially when troubleshooting technical issues and refining animations based on feedback.

Implementing Mr. Shamsul’s feedback helped me see the importance of continuous improvement in design. This experience reinforced the significance of visual hierarchy, structured storytelling, and audience engagement in information design. Moving forward, I will apply these lessons to future projects to enhance both clarity and impact.
