REFLECTION

Experience

For my overall experience, I think the learning process was not that bad. Everything in this module seems new to me, but I'm glad I can cope with it. Even though the amount of work we're doing for only this one module requires a lot of work, and I too have been complaining about it a lot, I can finally manage to do it, and eventually I'm enjoying this module as it has been my passion for a long time. Therefore, this is only the beginning for me, and I would say that after this, my path is not going to be smooth as this class has taught me hardship even in semester 1.

Observations

For almost 20 years of living, I've never really been given enough attention to the font that I've been using until this class taught me. Thus, I've been a bit picky in choosing a font or typeface these days. Sometimes, I've found myself analysing fonts whenever I'm outside without even realising it until I point out that I like or dislike the combination of the stuff with the font.

Findings

At the end of the searching, I've discovered that typography requires a great deal of precision when designing a letter because we need to consider a number of different aspects, such as x-height, baseline, ascender, descender, kerning, tracking, and many more. I have therefore learned more in-depth information from this programme, and I will apply this knowledge to my future career.
